Cum praesens est, imitantur illam, et desiderant eam cum se eduxerit ; et in perpetuum coronata triumphat, incoinquinatorum certaminum praemium vincens.

When it is present, they imitate it: and they desire it, when it hath withdrawn itself, and it triumpheth crowned for ever, winning the reward of undefiled conflicts.

Conflicts of men corrupted in mind and who are destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness.

διαπαρατριβαὶ διεφθαρμένων ἀνθρώπων τὸν νοῦν, καὶ ἀπεστερημένων τῆς ἀληθείας, νομιζόντων πορισμὸν εἶναι τὴν εὐσέβειαν. Ἀφίστασο ἀπὸ τῶν τοιούτων."
