Genesis 19 19 quia invenit servus tuus gratiam coram te, et magnificasti misericordiam tuam quam fecisti mecum, ut salvares animam meam, nec possum in monte salvari, ne forte apprehendat me malum, et moriar : Because thy servant hath found grace before thee, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewn to me, in saving my life, and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil seize me, and I die.

And when their fathers and their brethren shall come, and shall begin to complain against you, and to chide, we will say to them: Have pity on them: for they took them not away as by the right of war or conquest, but when they asked to have them, you gave them not, and the fault was committed on your part.

For thou hast shewn kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. And the Cinite departed from the midst of Amalec. 1_Kings 20 8 Fac ergo misericordiam in servum tuum, quia foedus Domini me famulum tuum tecum inire fecisti : si autem est iniquitas aliqua in me, tu me interfice, et ad patrem tuum ne introducas me. Deal mercifully then with thy servant: for thou hast brought me, thy servant, into a covenant of the Lord with thee. But if there be any iniquity in me, do thou kill me, and bring me not in to thy father. Καὶ ποιήσεις ἔλεος μετὰ δούλου σου, ὅτι εἰσήγαγες εἰς διαθήκην Κυρίου τὸν δοῦλόν σου μετὰ σεαυτοῦ· καὶ εἰ ἔστιν ἀδικία ἐν τῷ δούλῳ σου, θανάτωσόν με σὺ, καὶ ἕως τοῦ πατρός σου ἱνατί οὕτως εἰσάγεις με;

And now the Lord surely will render you mercy and truth, and I also will requite you for this good turn, because you have done this thing.
2_Kings 3 8 Quare ingressus es ad concubinam patris mei ? Qui iratus nimis propter verba Isboseth, ait : Numquid caput canis ego sum adversum Judam hodie, qui fecerim misericordiam super domum Saul patris tui, et super fratres et proximos ejus, et non tradidi te in manus David, et tu requisisti in me quod argueres pro muliere hodie ? Why didst thou go in to my father's concubine? And he was exceedingly angry for the words of Isboseth, and said: Am I a dog's head against Juda this day, who have shewn mercy to the house of Saul thy father, and to his brethren and friends, and have not delivered thee into the hands of David, and hast thou sought this day against me to charge me with a matter concerning a woman? Καὶ ἐθυμώθη σφόδρα Ἀβεννὴρ περὶ τοῦ λόγου τούτου τῷ Ἰεβοσθέ. καὶ εἶπεν Ἀβεννὴρ πρὸς αὐτὸν, μὴ κεφαλὴ κυνὸς ἐγώ εἰμι; ἐποίησα σήμερον ἔλεος μετὰ τοῦ οἴκου Σαοὺλ τοῦ πατρός σου, καὶ περὶ ἀδελφῶν καὶ περὶ γνωρίμων, καὶ οὐκ ηὐτομόλησα εἰς τὸν οἶκον Δαυὶδ, καὶ ἐπιζητεῖς ἐπʼ ἐμὲ σὺ ὑπὲρ ἀδικίας γυναικὸς σήμερον;

And David said: Is there any one, think you, left of the house of Saul, that I may shew kindness to him for Jonathan's sake? Καὶ εἶπε Δαυὶδ, εἰ ἔστιν ἔτι ὑπολελειμμένος ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ Σαοὺλ, καὶ ποιήσω μετʼ αὐτοῦ ἔλεος ἕνεκεν Ἰωνάθαν;
Dixitque Siba regi : Superest filius Jonathae, debilis pedibus. And the king said: Is there any one left of the house of Saul, that I may shew the mercy of God unto Him? And Siba said to the king: There is a son of Jonathan left, who is lame of his feet.
2_Kings 9 7 Et ait ei David : Ne timeas, quia faciens faciam in te misericordiam propter Jonathan patrem tuum, et restituam tibi omnes agros Saul patris tui : et tu comedes panem in mensa mea semper. And David said to him: Fear not, for I will surely shew thee mercy for Jonathan thy father's sake, and I will restore the lands of Saul the father, and thou shalt eat bread at my table always.
2_Kings 10 2 Dixitque David : Faciam misericordiam cum Hanon filio Naas, sicut fecit pater ejus mecum misericordiam. Misit ergo David, consolans eum per servos suos super patris interitu. So David sent his servants to comfort him for the death of his father. But when the servants of David were come into the land of the children of Ammon, Καὶ εἶπε Δαυὶδ, ποιήσω ἔλεος μετὰ Ἀννὼν υἱοῦ Ναὰς, ὃν τρόπον ἐποίησεν ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ μετʼ ἐμοῦ ἔλεος.

Yesterday thou camest, and to day shalt thou be forced to go forth with us? but I shall go whither I am going: return thou, and take back thy brethren with thee, and the Lord will shew thee mercy, and truth, because thou hast shewn grace and fidelity.
3_Kings 2 7 Sed et filiis Berzellai Galaaditis reddes gratiam, eruntque comedentes in mensa tua : occurrerunt enim mihi quando fugiebam a facie Absalom fratris tui.
2_Paralipomenon 5 13 Igitur cunctis pariter, et tubis, et voce, et cymbalis, et organis, et diversi generis musicorum concinentibus, et vocem in sublime tollentibus, longe sonitus audiebatur, ita ut cum Dominum laudare coepissent et dicere : Confitemini Domino quoniam bonus, quoniam in aeternum misericordia ejus : impleretur domus Dei nube, So when they all sounded together, both with trumpets, and voice, and cymbals, and organs, and with divers kind of musical instruments, and lifted up their voice on high: the sound was heard afar off, so that when they began to praise the Lord, and to say: Give glory to the Lord for he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever: the house of God was filled with a cloud.
Moreover all the children of Israel saw the fire coming down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house: and falling down with their faces to the ground, upon the stone pavement, they adored and praised the Lord: because he is good, because his mercy endureth for ever.
2_Paralipomenon 7 6 Sacerdotes autem stabant in officiis suis, et Levitae in organis carminum Domini, quae fecit David rex ad laudandum Dominum : Quoniam in aeternum misericordia ejus, hymnos David canentes per manus suas : porro sacerdotes canebant tubis ante eos, cunctusque Israel stabat. And the priests stood in their offices: and the Levites with the instruments of music of the Lord, which king David made to praise the Lord: because his mercy endureth for ever, singing the hymns of David by their ministry: and the priests sounded with trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
Esdras 3 11 Et concinebant in hymnis, et confessione Domino : Quoniam bonus, quoniam in aeternum misericordia ejus super Israel. Omnis quoque populus vociferabatur clamore magno in laudando Dominum, eo quod fundatum esset templum Domini. And they sung together hymns, and praise to the Lord: because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever towards Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, praising the Lord, because the foundations of the temple of the Lord were laid.
For we are bondmen, and in our bondage our God hath not forsaken us, but hath extended mercy upon us before the king of the Persians, to give us life, and to set up the house of our God, and to rebuild the desolations thereof, and to give us a fence in Juda and Jerusalem.

Job 10 12 Vitam et misericordiam tribuisti mihi, et visitatio tua custodivit spiritum meum. Thou hast granted me life and mercy, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
Job 37 13 sive in una tribu, sive in terra sua, sive in quocumque loco misericordiae suae eas jusserit inveniri. Whether in one tribe, or in his own land, or in what place soever of his mercy he shall command them to be found.

And a throne shall be prepared in mercy, and one shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking judgment and quickly rendering that which is just.
Isaias 45 8 Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant justum ; aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem, et justitia oriatur simul : ego Dominus creavi eum.] Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just: let the earth be opened, and bud forth a saviour: and let justice spring up together: I the Lord have created him.
Isaias 47 6 Iratus sum super populum meum : contaminavi haereditatem meam, et dedi eos in manu tua : non posuisti eis misericordias ; super senem aggravasti jugum tuum valde. I was angry with my people, I have polluted my inheritance, and have given them into thy hand: thou hast shewn no mercy to them: upon the ancient thou hast laid thy yoke exceeding heavy.
Isaias 54 7 Ad punctum in modico dereliqui te, et in miserationibus magnis congregabo te. For a small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.
Isaias 54 8 In momento indignationis abscondi faciem meam parumper a te ; et in misericordia sempiterna misertus sum tui, dixit redemptor tuus, Dominus. In a moment of indignation have I hid my face a little while from thee, but with everlasting kindness have I had mercy on thee, said the Lord thy Redeemer.
And the children of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister to thee: for in my wrath have I struck thee, and in my reconciliation have I had mercy upon thee.

Isaias 63 15 Attende de caelo, et vide de habitaculo sancto tuo, et gloriae tuae. Ubi est zelus tuus, et fortitudo tua, multitudo viscerum tuorum et miserationum tuarum ? Super me continuerunt se. Look down from heaven, and behold from thy holy habitation and the place of thy glory: where is thy zeal, and thy strength, the multitude of thy bowels, and of thy mercies? they have held back themselves from me. Ἐπίστρεψον ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ ἴδε ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ ἁγίου σου, καὶ δόξης σου· ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ ζῆλός σου καὶ ἡ ἰσχύς σου; ποῦ ἐστι τὸ πλῆθος τοῦ ἐλέους σου, καὶ οἰκτιρμῶν σου, ὅτι ἀνέσχου ἡμῶν;
Isaias 64 3 Cum feceris mirabilia, non sustinebimus ; descendisti, et a facie tua montes defluxerunt. When thou shalt do wonderful things, we shall not bear them: thou didst come down, and at thy presence the mountains melted away.
