1_Kings 3 9 et ait : Ecce ego, quia vocasti me. And said: Here am I: for thou didst call me. Then Heli understood that the Lord called the child, and he said to Samuel: Go, and sleep: and if he shall call thee any more, thou shalt say: Speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went, and slept in his place.

So Ammon lay down, and made as if he were sick: and when the king came to visit him, Ammon said to the king: I pray thee let my sister Thamar come, and make in my sight two little messes, that I may eat at her hand.

A woman is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth: but if her husband die, she is at liberty. Let her marry to whom she will: only in the Lord.
Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you: and many sleep.
Then was he seen by more than five hundred brethren at once: of whom many remain until this present, and some are fallen asleep.
1_Corinthians 15 18 Ergo et qui dormierunt in Christo, perierunt. Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
1_Corinthians 15 20 Nunc autem Christus resurrexit a mortuis primitiae dormientium, But now Christ is risen from the dead, the firstfruits of them that sleep: ¶Νυνὶ δὲ χριστὸς ἐγήγερται ἐκ νεκρῶν, ἀπαρχὴ τῶν κεκοιμημένων ἐγένετο."
Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again: even so them who have slept through Jesus, will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you in the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them who have slept.
For the Lord himself shall come down from heaven with commandment and with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God: and the dead who are in Christ shall rise first.
Saying: Where is his promise or his coming? For since the time that the fathers slept, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
