But when the later coming was, and the last conceiving, he did not put them. And those that were lateward, became Laban's; and they of the first time, Jacob's. Grace and friendship deliver a man: keep these for thyself, lest thou fall under reproach.

They said then one to another: Let us not cut it but let us cast lots for it, whose it shall be; that the scripture might be fulfilled, saying: They have parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture they have cast lots. And the soldiers indeed did these things.
The soldiers therefore came: and they broke the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with him.
Many other signs also did Jesus in the sight of his disciples, which are not written in this book.
Acts 1 1 Primum quidem sermonem feci de omnibus, o Theophile, quae coepit Jesus facere et docere The former treatise I made, O Theophilus, of all things which Jesus began to do and to teach, Τὸν μὲν πρῶτον λόγον ἐποιησάμην περὶ πάντων, ὦ Θεόφιλε, ὧν ἤρξατο ὁ Ἰησοῦς ποιεῖν τε καὶ διδάσκειν,"
Acts 1 5 quia Joannes quidem baptizavit aqua, vos autem baptizabimini Spiritu Sancto non post multos hos dies. For John indeed baptized with water: but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost, not many days hence.
They therefore who were come together, asked him, saying: Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom of Israel?
And he indeed hath possessed a field of the reward of iniquity, and being hanged, burst asunder in the midst: and all his bowels gushed out.
They therefore that received his word were baptized: and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
Acts 3 13 Deus Abraham, et Deus Isaac, et Deus Jacob, Deus patrum nostrorum glorificavit filium suum Jesum, quem vos quidem tradidistis, et negastis ante faciem Pilati, judicante illo dimitti. The God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied before the face of Pilate, when he judged he should be released.
Acts 3 21 quem oportet quidem caelum suscipere usque in tempora restitutionis omnium quae locutus est Deus per os sanctorum suorum a saeculo prophetarum. Whom heaven indeed must receive, until the times of the restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets, from the beginning of the world.
Acts 3 22 Moyses quidem dixit : Quoniam prophetam suscitabit vobis Dominus Deus vester de fratribus vestris, tamquam me : ipsum audietis juxta omnia quaecumque locutus fuerit vobis. For Moses said: A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me: him you shall hear according to all things whatsoever he shall speak to you.
Saying: What shall we do to these men? For indeed a miracle hath been done by them, known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. It is manifest: and we cannot deny it.
Saying: The prison indeed we found shut with all diligence, and the keepers standing before the door: but opening it, we found no man within.
Acts 5 41 Et illi quidem ibant gaudentes a conspectu concilii, quoniam digni habiti sunt pro nomine Jesu contumeliam pati. And they indeed went from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were accounted worthy to suffer reproach for the name of Jesus.
Acts 8 4 Igitur qui dispersi erant pertransibant, evangelizantes verbum Dei. They therefore that were dispersed went about preaching the word of God.
Acts 8 25 Et illi quidem testificati, et locuti verbum Domini, redibant Jerosolymam, et multis regionibus Samaritanorum evangelizabant. And they indeed, having testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem: and preached the gospel to many countries of the Samaritans.
And the Lord said to him: Arise and go into the city; and there it shall be told thee what thou must do. Now the men who went in company with him stood amazed, hearing indeed a voice but seeing no man.
Now, the church had peace throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria: and was edified, walking in the fear of the Lord: and was filled with the consolation of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 11 16 Recordatus sum autem verbi Domini, sicut dicebat : Joannes quidem baptizavit aqua, vos autem baptizabimini Spiritu Sancto. And I remembered the word of the Lord, how that he said: John indeed baptized with water but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 11 19 Et illi quidem qui dispersi fuerant a tribulatione quae facta fuerat sub Stephano, perambulaverunt usque Phoenicen, et Cyprum, et Antiochiam, nemini loquentes verbum, nisi solis Judaeis. Now they who had been dispersed by the persecution that arose on occasion of Stephen went about as far as Phenice and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to none, but to the Jews only.
Acts 12 5 Et Petrus quidem servabatur in carcere. Peter therefore was kept in prison. But prayer was made without ceasing by the church unto God for him.
Acts 13 4 Et ipsi quidem missi a Spiritu Sancto abierunt Seleuciam : et inde navigaverunt Cyprum. So they, being sent by the Holy Ghost, went to Seleucia: and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
For David, when he had served in his generation, according to the will of God, slept: and was laid unto his fathers and saw corruption.
Acts 14 3 Multo igitur tempore demorati sunt, fiducialiter agentes in Domino, testimonium perhibente verbo gratiae suae, dante signa et prodigia fieri per manus eorum. A long time therefore they abode there, dealing confidently in the Lord, who gave testimony to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
And the multitude of the city was divided. And some of them indeed held with the Jews, but some with the apostles.
The priest also of Jupiter that was before the city, bringing oxen and garlands before the gate, would have offered sacrifice with the people.
They therefore, being brought on their way by the church, passed through Phenice and Samaria, relating the conversion of the Gentiles. And they caused great joy to all the brethren.
Acts 15 30 Illi ergo dimissi, descenderunt Antiochiam : et congregata multitudine tradiderunt epistolam. They therefore, being dismissed, went down to Antioch and, gathering together the multitude, delivered the epistle.
Acts 16 5 Et ecclesiae quidem confirmabantur fide, et abundabunt numero quotidie. And the churches were confirmed in faith and increased in number daily.
And many indeed of them believed: and of honourable women that were Gentiles and of men, not a few.
He disputed, therefore, in the synagogue with the Jews and with them that served God: and in the market place, every day, with them that were there.
Acts 17 30 Et tempora quidem hujus ignorantiae despiciens Deus, nunc annuntiat hominibus ut omnes ubique poenitentiam agant, And God indeed having winked at the times of this ignorance, now declareth unto men that all should every where do penance.
And when they had heard of the resurrection of the dead, some indeed mocked. But others said: We will hear thee again concerning this matter.
Acts 18 14 Incipiente autem Paulo aperire os, dixit Gallio ad Judaeos : Si quidem esset iniquum aliquid aut facinus pessimum, o viri Judaei, recte vos sustinerem. And when Paul was beginning to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews: If it were some matter of injustice or an heinous deed, O Jews, I should with reason bear with you.
Then Paul said: John baptized the people with the baptism of penance saying: That they should believe in him, who was to come after him, that is to say, in Jesus.
Now some cried one thing, some another. For the assembly was confused: and the greater part knew not for what cause they were come together.
But if Demetrius and the craftsmen that are with him have a matter against any man, the courts of justice are open: and there are proconsuls. Let them accuse one another.
But Paul said to him: I am a Jew of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city. And I beseech thee, suffer me to speak to the people.
Acts 22 3 Et dicit : Ego sum vir Judaeus, natus in Tarso Ciliciae, nutritus autem in ista civitate, secus pedes Gamaliel eruditus juxta veritatem paternae legis, aemulator legis, sicut et vos omnes estis hodie : And he saith: I am a Jew, born at Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the truth of the law of the fathers, zealous for the law, as also all you are this day: ¶Ἐγὼ μέν εἰμι ἀνὴρ Ἰουδαῖος, γεγεννημένος ἐν Ταρσῷ τῆς Κιλικίας, ἀνατεθραμμένος δὲ ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ παρὰ τοὺς πόδας Γαμαλιήλ, πεπαιδευμένος κατὰ ἀκρίβειαν τοῦ πατρῴου νόμου, ζηλωτὴς ὑπάρχων τοῦ θεοῦ, καθὼς πάντες ὑμεῖς ἐστε σήμερον·"
And they that were with me saw indeed the light: but they heard not the voice of him that spoke with me.
For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.
Acts 23 18 Et ille quidem assumens eum duxit ad tribunum, et ait : Vinctus Paulus rogavit me hunc adolescentem perducere ad te, habentem aliquid loqui tibi. And he, taking him, brought him to the tribune and said: Paul, the prisoner, desired me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath some thing to say to thee.
Acts 23 22 Tribunus igitur dimisit adolescentem, praecipiens ne cui loqueretur quoniam haec nota sibi fecisset. The tribune therefore dismissed the young man, charging him that he should tell no man that he had made known these things unto him.
Acts 23 31 Milites ergo secundum praeceptum sibi assumentes Paulum, duxerunt per noctem in Antipatridem. Then the soldiers, according as it was commanded them, taking Paul, brought him by night to Antipatris.
Acts 25 4 Festus autem respondit servari Paulum in Caesarea : se autem maturius profecturum. But Festus answered: That Paul was kept in Caesarea: and that he himself would very shortly depart thither.
Acts 25 11 Si enim nocui, aut dignum morte aliquid feci, non recuso mori : si vero nihil est eorum quae hi accusant me, nemo potest me illis donare. Caesarem appello. For if I have injured them or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die. But if there be none of these things whereof they accuse me, no man may deliver me to them. I appeal to Caesar.
Acts 26 4 Et quidem vitam meam a juventute, quae ab initio fuit in gente mea in Jerosolymis, noverunt omnes Judaei : And my life indeed from my youth, which was from the beginning among my own nation in Jerusalem, all the Jews do know: Τὴν μὲν οὖν βίωσίν μου τὴν ἐκ νεότητος, τὴν ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς γενομένην ἐν τῷ ἔθνει μου ἐν Ἱεροσολύμοις, ἴσασιν πάντες οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι,"
Acts 26 9 Et ego quidem existimaveram me adversus nomen Jesu Nazareni debere multa contraria agere, And I indeed did formerly think that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
Acts 27 21 Et cum multa jejunatio fuisset, tunc stans Paulus in medio eorum, dixit : Oportebat quidem, o viri, audito me, non tollere a Creta, lucrique facere injuriam hanc et jacturam. And after they had fasted a long time, Paul standing forth in the midst of them, said: You should indeed, O ye men, have hearkened unto me and not have loosed from Crete and have gained this harm and loss.
Acts 27 41 Et cum incidissemus in locum dithalassum, impegerunt navem : et prora quidem fixa manebat immobilis, puppis vero solvebatur a vi maris. And when we were fallen into a place where two seas met, they run the ship aground. And the forepart indeed, sticking fast, remained unmoveable: but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the sea.
And the rest, some they carried on boards and some on those things that belonged to the ship. And so it came to pass that every soul got safe to land.
Acts 28 5 Et ille quidem excutiens bestiam in ignem, nihil mali passus est. And he indeed, shaking off the beast into the fire, suffered no harm.
But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that it is every where contradicted.
Acts 28 24 Et quidam credebant his quae dicebantur : quidam vero non credebant. And some believed the things that were said: but some believed not.
Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of Apollo; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
For the word of the cross, to them indeed that perish, is foolishness: but to them that are saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God.
1_Corinthians 1 23 nos autem praedicamus Christum crucifixum : Judaeis quidem scandalum, gentibus autem stultitiam, But we preach Christ crucified: unto the Jews indeed a stumblingblock, and unto the Gentiles foolishness:
1_Corinthians 2 15 Spiritualis autem judicat omnia : et ipse a nemine judicatur. But the spiritual man judgeth all things: and he himself is judged of no man.
For while one saith: I indeed am of Paul: and another: I am of Apollo: are you not men? What then is Apollo and what is Paul?
I indeed, absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged, as though I were present, him that hath so done, Ἐγὼ μὲν γὰρ ὡς ἀπὼν τῷ σώματι παρὼν δὲ τῷ πνεύματι, ἤδη κέκρικα ὡς παρών, τὸν οὕτως τοῦτο κατεργασάμενον,"
If therefore you have judgments of things pertaining to this world, set them to judge who are the most despised in the church.
Already indeed there is plainly a fault among you, that you have law suits one with another. Why do you not rather take wrong? Why do you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
For I would that all men were even as myself. But every one hath his proper gift from God: one after this manner, and another after that.
Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, but one receiveth the prize. So run that you may obtain.
And every one that striveth for the mastery refraineth himself from all things. And they indeed that they may receive a corruptible crown: but we an incorruptible one.
The man indeed ought not to cover his head: because he is the image and glory of God. But the woman is the glory of the man.
1_Corinthians 11 14 Nec ipsa natura docet vos, quod vir quidem si comam nutriat, ignominia est illi : Doth not even nature itself teach you that a man indeed, if he nourish his hair, it is a shame unto him?
For first of all I hear that when you come together in the church, there are schisms among you. And in part I believe it.
For every one taketh before his own supper to eat. And one indeed is hungry and another is drunk.
1_Corinthians 12 8 Alii quidem per Spiritum datur sermo sapientiae : alii autem sermo scientiae secundum eumdem Spiritum : To one indeed, by the Spirit, is given the word of wisdom: and to another, the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit: ᾯ μὲν γὰρ διὰ τοῦ πνεύματος δίδοται λόγος σοφίας, ἄλλῳ δὲ λόγος γνώσεως, κατὰ τὸ αὐτὸ πνεῦμα·"
1_Corinthians 12 20 Nunc autem multa quidem membra, unum autem corpus. But now there are many members indeed, yet one body.
1_Corinthians 12 28 Et quosdam quidem posuit Deus in ecclesia primum apostolos, secundo prophetas, exinde doctores, deinde virtutes, exinde gratias curationum, opitulationes, gubernationes, genera linguarum, interpretationes sermonum. And God indeed hath set some in the church; first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly doctors: after that miracles: then the graces of healings, helps, governments, kinds of tongues, interpretations of speeches.
For thou indeed givest thanks well: but the other is not edified.
All flesh is not the same flesh: but one is the flesh of men, another of beasts, other of birds, another of fishes.
And there are bodies celestial and bodies terrestrial: but, one is the glory of the celestial, and another of the terrestrial.
Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed.
2_Corinthians 2 16 aliis quidem odor mortis in mortem : aliis autem odor vitae in vitam. Et ad haec quis tam idoneus ? To the one indeed the odour of death unto death: but to the others the odour of life unto life. And for these things who is so sufficient?
2_Corinthians 4 12 Ergo mors in nobis operatur, vita autem in vobis. So then death worketh in us: but life in you.
For indeed he accepted the exhortation: but, being more careful, of his own will he went unto you.
For concerning the ministry that is done towards the saints, it is superfluous for me to write unto you.
Now I Paul, myself beseech you, by the mildness and modesty of Christ: who in presence indeed am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you.
For his epistles indeed, say they, are weighty and strong; but his bodily presence is weak and his speech contemptible): Ὅτι, Αἱ μὲν ἐπιστολαί, φησίν, βαρεῖαι καὶ ἰσχυραί· ἡ δὲ παρουσία τοῦ σώματος ἀσθενής, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἐξουθενημένος."
For if he that cometh preacheth another Christ, whom we have not preached; or if you receive another Spirit, whom you have not received; or another gospel, which you have not received: you might well bear with him.
Yet the signs of my apostleship have been wrought on you, in all patience, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.
And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and other some evangelists, and other some pastors and doctors: Καὶ αὐτὸς ἔδωκεν τοὺς μὲν ἀποστόλους, τοὺς δὲ προφήτας, τοὺς δὲ εὐαγγελιστάς, τοὺς δὲ ποιμένας καὶ διδασκάλους,"
Philippians 1 15 Quidam quidem et propter invidiam et contentionem : quidam autem et propter bonam voluntatem Christum praedicant : Some indeed, even out of envy and contention: but some also for good will preach Christ.
Philippians 1 16 quidam ex caritate, scientes quoniam in defensionem Evangelii positus sum. Some out of charity, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
And in nothing be ye terrified by the adversaries: which to them is a cause of perdition, but to you of salvation, and this from God.
Philippians 2 23 Hunc igitur spero me mittere ad vos, mox ut videro quae circa me sunt. Him therefore I hope to send unto you immediately: so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
Philippians 3 1 De cetero, fratres mei, gaudete in Domino. As to the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not wearisome, but to you is necessary.
Philippians 3 8 Verumtamen existimo omnia detrimentum esse propter eminentem scientiam Jesu Christi Domini mei : propter quem omnia detrimentum feci, et arbitror ut stercora, ut Christum lucrifaciam, Furthermore, I count all things to be but loss for the excellent knowledge of Jesus Christ, my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them but as dung, that I may gain Christ.
Philippians 3 13 Fratres, ego me non arbitror comprehendisse. I do not count myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do: Forgetting the things that are behind and stretching forth myself to those that are before, Ἀδελφοί, ἐγὼ ἐμαυτὸν οὐ λογίζομαι κατειληφέναι· ἓν δέ, τὰ μὲν ὀπίσω ἐπιλανθανόμενος, τοῖς δὲ ἔμπροσθεν ἐπεκτεινόμενος,"
Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in superstition and humility, and not sparing the body; not in any honour to the filling of the flesh.
For we would have come unto you, I Paul indeed, once and again: but Satan hath hindered us.
But is now made manifest by the illumination of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath destroyed death and hath brought to light life and incorruption by the gospel.
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth: and some indeed unto honour, but some unto dishonour.
And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables.
All things are clean to the clean: but to them that are defiled and to unbelievers, nothing is clean: but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
Hebrews 1 7 Et ad angelos quidem dicit : Qui facit angelos suos spiritus, et ministros suos flammam ignis. And to the angels indeed he saith: He that maketh his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire.
Hebrews 3 5 Et Moyses quidem fidelis erat in tota domo ejus tamquam famulus, in testimonium eorum, quae dicenda erant : And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be said: Καὶ Μωϋσῆς μὲν πιστὸς ἐν ὅλῳ τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ ὡς θεράπων, εἰς μαρτύριον τῶν λαληθησομένων·"
For men swear by one greater than themselves: and an oath for confirmation is the end of all their controversy.
To whom also Abraham divided the tithes of all: who first indeed by interpretation is king of justice: and then also king of Salem, that is, king of peace: ᾧ καὶ δεκάτην ἀπὸ πάντων ἐμέρισεν Ἀβραάμ- πρῶτον μὲν ἑρμηνευόμενος βασιλεὺς δικαιοσύνης, ἔπειτα δὲ καὶ βασιλεὺς Σαλήμ, ὅ ἐστιν βασιλεὺς εἰρήνης·"
Hebrews 7 5 Et quidem de filiis Levi sacerdotium accipientes, mandatum habent decimas sumere a populo secundum legem, id est, a fratribus suis : quamquam et ipsi exierint de lumbis Abrahae. And indeed they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is to say, of their brethren: though they themselves also came out of the loins of Abraham.
Hebrews 7 8 Et hic quidem, decimas morientes homines accipiunt : ibi autem contestatur, quia vivit. And here indeed, men that die receive tithes: but there, he hath witness that he liveth.
Hebrews 7 11 Si ergo consummatio per sacerdotium Leviticum erat (populus enim sub ipso legem accepit) quid adhuc necessarium fuit secundum ordinem Melchisedech, alium surgere sacerdotem, et non secundum ordinem Aaron dici ? If then perfection was by the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchisedech: and not be called according to the order of Aaron?
Hebrews 7 18 Reprobatio quidem fit praecedentis mandati, propter infirmitatem ejus, et inutilitatem : There is indeed a setting aside of the former commandment, because of the weakness and unprofitableness thereof:
Hebrews 7 20 Et quantum est non sine jurejurando (alii quidem sine jurejurando sacerdotes facti sunt, And inasmuch as it is not without an oath (for the others indeed were made priests without an oath: Καὶ καθ’ ὅσον οὐ χωρὶς ὁρκωμοσίας- οἱ μὲν γὰρ χωρὶς ὁρκωμοσίας εἰσὶν ἱερεῖς γεγονότες,"
And the others indeed were made many priests, because by reason of death they were not suffered to continue: Καὶ οἱ μὲν πλείονές εἰσιν γεγονότες ἱερεῖς, διὰ τὸ θανάτῳ κωλύεσθαι παραμένειν·"
Hebrews 8 4 Si ergo esset super terram, nec esset sacerdos : cum essent qui offerent secundum legem munera, If then he were on earth, he would not be a priest: seeing that there would be others to offer gifts according to the law.
Hebrews 9 1 Habuit quidem et prius justificationes culturae, et Sanctum saeculare. The former indeed had also justifications of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
Hebrews 9 6 His vero ita compositis, in priori quidem tabernaculo semper introibant sacerdotes, sacrificiorum officia consummantes : Now these things being thus ordered, into the first tabernacle, the priests indeed always entered, accomplishing the offices of sacrifices.
It is necessary therefore that the patterns of heavenly things should be cleansed with these: but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
Hebrews 10 11 Et omnis quidem sacerdos praesto est quotidie ministrans, et easdem saepe offerens hostias, quae numquam possunt auferre peccata : And every priest indeed standeth daily ministering and often offering the same sacrifices which can never take away sins.
And on the one hand indeed, by reproaches and tribulations, were made a gazingstock; and on the other, became companions of them that were used in such sort.
Hebrews 11 15 Et si quidem ipsius meminissent de qua exierunt, habebant utique tempus revertendi : And truly, if they had been mindful of that from whence they came out, they had doubtless, time to return.
Moreover, we have had fathers of our flesh for instructors, and we reverenced them. Shall we not much more obey the Father of spirits and live?
And they indeed for a few days, according to their own pleasure, instructed us: but he, for our profit, that we might receive his sanctification.
Now all chastisement for the present indeed seemeth not to bring with it joy, but sorrow: but afterwards it will yield to them that are exercised by it the most peaceable fruit of justice.
But the wisdom that is from above, first indeed is chaste, then peaceable, modest, easy to be persuaded, consenting to the good, full of mercy and good fruits, without judging, without dissimulation.
1_Peter 1 20 praecogniti quidem ante mundi constitutionem, manifestati autem novissimis temporibus propter vos, Foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but manifested in the last times for you: προεγνωσμένου μὲν πρὸ καταβολῆς κόσμου, φανερωθέντος δὲ ἐπ’ ἐσχάτων τῶν χρόνων δι’ ὑμᾶς,"
1_Peter 2 4 Ad quem accedentes lapidem vivum, ab hominibus quidem reprobatum, a Deo autem electum, et honorificatum : Unto whom coming, as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men but chosen and made honourable by God:
Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit, Ὅτι καὶ χριστὸς ἅπαξ περὶ ἁμαρτιῶν ἔπαθεν, δίκαιος ὑπὲρ ἀδίκων, ἵνα ὑμᾶς προσαγάγῃ τῷ θεῷ, θανατωθεὶς μὲν σαρκί, ζῳοποιηθεὶς δὲ πνεύματι,"
For, for this cause was the gospel preached also to the dead: That they might be judged indeed according to men, in the flesh: but may live according to God, in the Spirit.
If you be reproached for the name of Christ, you shall be blessed: for that which is of the honour, glory and power of God, and that which is his Spirit resteth upon you.
In like manner, these men also defile the flesh and despise dominion and blaspheme majesty.
Jude 1 10 Hi autem quaecumque quidem ignorant, blasphemant : quaecumque autem naturaliter, tamquam muta animalia, norunt, in his corrumpuntur. But these men blaspheme whatever things they know not: and what things soever they naturally know, like dumb beasts, in these they are corrupted.
Jude 1 22 Et hos quidem arguite judicatos : And some indeed reprove, being judged: Καὶ οὓς μὲν ἐλεεῖτε διακρινόμενοι·
