29:1 Mensis etiam septimi prima dies venerabilis et sancta erit vobis. Omne opus servile non facietis in ea, quia dies clangoris est et tubarum.
*H The first day also of the seventh month shall be venerable and holy unto you; you shall do no servile work therein, because it is the day of the sounding and of trumpets.
Ver. 1. The first. This day was doubly solemn, as being the first day of the month, consequently entitled to all the sacrifices enjoined for it; and also a holiday, for which other victims are requisite, besides the perpetual holocausts, v. 2. 6. C. xxviii. 11. H.
Καὶ τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ, μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς, ἐπίκλητος ἁγία ἔσται ὑμῖν· πᾶν ἔργον λατρευτὸν οὐ ποιήσετε· ἡμέρα σημασίας ἔσται ὑμῖν.
וּ/בַ/חֹ֨דֶשׁ הַ/שְּׁבִיעִ֜י בְּ/אֶחָ֣ד לַ/חֹ֗דֶשׁ מִֽקְרָא קֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָ/כֶ֔ם כָּל מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֑וּ י֥וֹם תְּרוּעָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֥ה לָ/כֶֽם
29:2 Offeretisque holocaustum in odorem suavissimum Domino, vitulum de armento unum, arietem unum, et agnos anniculos immaculatos septem :
And you shall offer a holocaust for a most sweet odour to the Lord, one calf of the herd, one ram and seven lambs of a year old, without blemish.
Καὶ ποιήσετε ὁλοκαυτώματα εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας Κυρίῳ, μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν, κριὸν ἕνα, ἀμνοὺς ἐνιαυσίους ἑπτὰ ἀμώμους.

And for their sacrifices, three tenths of flour tempered with oil to every calf, two tenths to a ram,
Ἡ θυσία αὐτῶν σεμίδαλις ἀναπεποιημένη ἐν ἐλαίῳ· τρία δέκατα τῷ μόσχῳ τῷ ἑνὶ, καὶ δύο δέκατα τῷ κρίῳ τῷ ἑνί·

29:4 unam decimam per agnum, qui simul sunt agni septem :
One tenth to a lamb, which in all are seven lambs:

29:5 et hircum pro peccato, qui offertur in expiationem populi,
And a buck goat for sin, which is offered for the expiation of the people,
Καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας, ἐξιλάσασθαι περὶ ὑμῶν·
וּ/שְׂעִיר עִזִּ֥ים אֶחָ֖ד חַטָּ֑את לְ/כַפֵּ֖ר עֲלֵי/כֶֽם
29:6 praeter holocaustum calendarum cum sacrificiis suis, et holocaustum sempiternum cum libationibus solitis : eisdem caeremoniis offeretis in odorem suavissimum incensum Domino.
Besides the holocaust of the first day of the month with the sacrifices thereof, and the perpetual holocaust with the accustomed libations. With the same ceremonies you shall offer a burnt sacrifice for a most sweet odour to the Lord.

And a buck goat for sin, besides the things that are wont to be offered for sin, for expiation, and for the perpetual holocaust with their sacrifice and libations.
Καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας, ἐξιλάσασθαι περὶ ὑμῶν· πλὴν τὸ περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας τῆς ἐξιλάσεως, καὶ ἡ ὁλοκαύτωσις ἡ διαπαντός· ἡ θυσία αὐτῆς, καὶ ἡ σπονδὴ αὐτῆς κατὰ τὴν σύγκρισιν εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας κάρπωμα Κυρίῳ.

29:12 Quintadecima vero die mensis septimi, quae vobis sancta erit atque venerabilis, omne opus servile non facietis in ea, sed celebrabitis solemnitatem Domino septem diebus.
*H And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, which shall be unto you holy and venerable, you shall do no servile work, but shall celebrate a solemnity to the Lord seven days.
Ver. 12. Seven days, not refraining indeed all that time from servile work, but remaining under tents, and daily performing what is required, v. 13. &c.
Καὶ τῇ πεντεκαιδεκάτῃ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ ἑβδόμου τούτου ἐπίκλητος ἁγία ἔσται ὑμῖν· πᾶν ἔργον λατρευτὸν οὐ ποιήσετε· καὶ ἑορτάσατε αὐτὴν ἑορτὴν Κυρίῳ ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας.

And you shall offer a holocaust for a most sweet odour to the Lord, thirteen calves of the herd, two rams, and fourteen lambs of a year old, without blemish:
Καὶ προσάξετε ὁλοκαυτώματα κάρπωμα εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας Κυρίῳ, τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ πρώτῃ μόσχους ἐκ βοῶν τρεῖς καὶ δέκα, κριοὺς δυο, ἀμνοὺς ἐνιαυσίους δεκατέσσαρας· ἄμωμοι ἔσονται.

And for their libations three tenths of flour tempered with oil to every calf, being in all thirteen calves: and two tenths to each ram, being two rams,

Αἱ θυσίαι αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ σπονδαὶ αὐτῶν τοῖς μόσχοις καὶ τοῖς κριοῖς καὶ τοῖς ἀμνοῖς κατὰ ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν, κατὰ τὴν σύγκρισιν αὐτῶν.

29:28 et hircum pro peccato, absque holocausto sempiterno, sacrificioque ejus et libamine.
And a buck goat for sin, besides the perpetual holocaust, and the sacrifice and the libation thereof.
Καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας πλὴν τῆς ὁλοκαυτώσεως τῆς διαπαντός· αἱ θυσίαι αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ σπονδαὶ αὐτῶν.
וּ/שְׂעִ֥יר חַטָּ֖את אֶחָ֑ד מִ/לְּ/בַד֙ עֹלַ֣ת הַ/תָּמִ֔יד וּ/מִנְחָתָ֖/הּ וְ/נִסְכָּֽ/הּ
29:29 Die sexto offeretis vitulos octo, arietes duos, agnos anniculos immaculatos quatuordecim :
The sixth day you shall offer eight calves, two rams, and fourteen lambs of a year old, without blemish:

29:35 Die octavo, qui est celeberrimus, omne opus servile non facietis,
*H On the eighth day, which is most solemn, you shall do no servile work:
Ver. 35. Eighth day, which was more solemn than the preceding ones, but less so than the first. The victims are every day diminished. C. — This day, in the Hebrew calendar, is called the feast of retention, (atsroth) as they staid near the tabernacle. D.
Καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ὀγδόῃ ἐξόδιον ἔσται ὑμῖν· πᾶν ἔργον λατρευτὸν οὐ ποιησετε ἐν αὐτῇ.
בַּ/יּוֹם֙ הַ/שְּׁמִינִ֔י עֲצֶ֖רֶת תִּהְיֶ֣ה לָ/כֶ֑ם כָּל מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֥א תַעֲשֽׂוּ
29:36 offerentes holocaustum in odorem suavissimum Domino, vitulum unum, arietem unum, agnos anniculos immaculatos septem :
But you shall offer a holocaust for a most sweet odour to the Lord, one calf, one ram, and seven lambs of a year old, without blemish:
Καὶ προσάξετε ὁλοκαυτώματα εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας καρπώματα τῷ Κυρίῳ, μόσχον ἕνα, κριὸν ἕνα, ἀμνοὺς ἐνιαυσίους ἑπτὰ ἀμώμους.

29:39 Haec offeretis Domino in solemnitatibus vestris : praeter vota et oblationes spontaneas in holocausto, in sacrificio, in libamine, et in hostiis pacificis.
*H These things shall you offer to the Lord in your solemnities: besides your vows and voluntary oblations for holocaust, for sacrifice, for libation, and for victims of peace offerings.
