42:2 dixeruntque ad Jeremiam prophetam : Cadat oratio nostra in conspectu tuo, et ora pro nobis ad Dominum Deum tuum, pro universis reliquiis istis, quia derelicti sumus pauci de pluribus, sicut oculi tui nos intuentur :
*H And they said to Jeremias the prophet: Let our supplication fall before thee: and pray thou for us to the Lord thy God for all this remnant, for we are left but a few of many, as thy eyes do behold us.

49_2 πρὸς Ἱερεμίαν τὸν προφήτην, καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ, πεσέτω δὴ τὸ ἔλεος ἡμῶν κατὰ πρόσωπόν σου, καὶ πρόσευξαι πρὸς Κύριον τὸν Θεόν σου περὶ τῶν καταλοίπων τούτων· ὅτι κατελείφθημεν ὀλίγοι ἀπὸ πολλῶν, καθὼς οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου βλέπουσι.
וַ/יֹּאמְר֞וּ אֶֽל יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַ/נָּבִ֗יא תִּפָּל נָ֤א תְחִנָּתֵ֨/נוּ֙ לְ/פָנֶ֔י/ךָ וְ/הִתְפַּלֵּ֤ל בַּעֲדֵ֨/נוּ֙ אֶל יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ בְּעַ֖ד כָּל הַ/שְּׁאֵרִ֣ית הַ/זֹּ֑את כִּֽי נִשְׁאַ֤רְנוּ מְעַט֙ מֵֽ/הַרְבֵּ֔ה כַּ/אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֵינֶ֖י/ךָ רֹא֥וֹת אֹתָֽ/נוּ
42:3 et annuntiet nobis Dominus Deus tuus viam per quam pergamus, et verbum quod faciamus.
And let the Lord thy God shew us the way by which we may walk, and the thing that we must do.
49_3 Καὶ ἀναγγειλάτω ἡμῖν Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου τὴν ὁδὸν ᾗ πορευσόμεθα ἐν αὐτῇ, καὶ λόγον ὃν ποιήσομεν.
וְ/יַגֶּד לָ֨/נוּ֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔י/ךָ אֶת הַ/דֶּ֖רֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נֵֽלֶךְ בָּ֑/הּ וְ/אֶת הַ/דָּבָ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר נַעֲשֶֽׂה
42:4 Dixit autem ad eos Jeremias propheta : Audivi. Ecce ego oro ad Dominum Deum vestrum secundum verba vestra : omne verbum quodcumque responderit mihi indicabo vobis, nec celabo vos quidquam.
And Jeremias the prophet said to them: I have heard you: behold I will pray to the Lord your God according to your words: and whatsoever thing he shall answer me, I will declare it to you: and I will hide nothing from you.
49_4 Καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἱερεμίας, ἤκουσα, ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ προσεύξομαι ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν πρὸς Κύριον τὸν Θεὸν ἡμῶν, κατὰ τοὺς λόγους ὑμῶν· καὶ ἔσται, ὁ λόγος ὃν ἂν ἀποκριθήσεται Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς, ἁναγγελῶ ὑμῖν, οὐ μὴ κρύψω ἀφʼ ὑμῶν ῥῆμα.
וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵי/הֶ֜ם יִרְמְיָ֤הוּ הַ/נָּבִיא֙ שָׁמַ֔עְתִּי הִנְ/נִ֧י מִתְפַּלֵּ֛ל אֶל יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶ֖ם כְּ/דִבְרֵי/כֶ֑ם וְֽ/הָיָ֡ה כָּֽל הַ/דָּבָר֩ אֲשֶׁר יַעֲנֶ֨ה יְהוָ֤ה אֶתְ/כֶם֙ אַגִּ֣יד לָ/כֶ֔ם לֹֽא אֶמְנַ֥ע מִ/כֶּ֖ם דָּבָֽר
42:5 Et illi dixerunt ad Jeremiam : Sit Dominus inter nos testis veritatis et fidei, si non juxta omne verbum in quo miserit te Dominus Deus tuus ad nos, sic faciemus :
*H And they said to Jeremias: The Lord be witness between us of truth and faithfulness, if we do not according to every thing for which the Lord thy God shall send thee to us.
Ver. 5. Witness. Jeremias knew their fickle temper. They will obey, only if God comply with their desires. C. — They began with piety, but soon refused to obey the directions given. C. xliii. 2. W.
49_5 Καὶ αὐτοὶ εἶπαν τῷ Ἱερεμίᾳ, ἔστω Κύριος ἐν ἡμῖν εἰς μάρτυρα δίκαιον καὶ πιστὸν, εἰ μὴ κατὰ πάντα τὸν λόγον, ὃν ἐὰν ἀποστείλῃ Κύριος πρὸς ἡμᾶς, οὕτως ποιήσωμεν.
וְ/הֵ֨מָּה֙ אָמְר֣וּ אֶֽל יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ יְהִ֤י יְהוָה֙ בָּ֔/נוּ לְ/עֵ֖ד אֱמֶ֣ת וְ/נֶאֱמָ֑ן אִם לֹ֡א כְּֽ/כָל הַ֠/דָּבָר אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִֽשְׁלָחֲ/ךָ֜ יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛י/ךָ אֵלֵ֖י/נוּ כֵּ֥ן נַעֲשֶֽׂה
42:6 sive bonum est, sive malum, voci Domini Dei nostri, ad quem mittimus te, obediemus, ut bene sit nobis cum audierimus vocem Domini Dei nostri.
*H Whether it be good or evil, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God, to whom we send thee: that it may be well with us when we shall hearken to the voice of the Lord our God.
Ver. 6. Good or evil. That is, agreeable or disagreeable. Ch. — It would have been well for them if they had been sincere, (v. 10. H.) and determined to comply whether the prophet announced prosperity or the reverse. W.
49_6 Καὶ ἐὰν ἀγαθὸν καὶ ἐὰν κακὸν, τὴν φωνὴν Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν, οὗ ἡμεῖς ἀποστέλλομέν σε πρὸς αὐτὸν, ἀκουσόμεθα, ἵνα βέλτιον ἡμῖν γένηται, ὅτι ἀκουσόμεθα τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν.
אִם ט֣וֹב וְ/אִם רָ֔ע בְּ/ק֣וֹל יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗י/נוּ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אנו אֲנַ֜חְנוּ שֹׁלְחִ֥ים אֹתְ/ךָ֛ אֵלָ֖י/ו נִשְׁמָ֑ע לְמַ֨עַן֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִֽיטַב לָ֔/נוּ כִּ֣י נִשְׁמַ֔ע בְּ/ק֖וֹל יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי/נוּ
42:7 Cum autem completi essent decem dies, factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam,
*H Now after ten days, the word of the Lord came to Jeremias.
Ver. 7. Days. The Spirit breathes where he will, and the prophets must wait his good time. Jeremias prayed for ten days in that place. He now resumes his discourse. C. xl 1.
49_7 Καὶ ἐγενήθη μεθʼ ἡμέρας δέκα, ἐγενήθη λόγος Κυρίου πρὸς Ἱερεμίαν.
וַ/יְהִ֕י מִ/קֵּ֖ץ עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת יָמִ֑ים וַ/יְהִ֥י דְבַר יְהוָ֖ה אֶֽל יִרְמְיָֽהוּ
42:8 vocavitque Johanan filium Caree, et omnes principes bellatorum qui erant cum eo, et universum populum, a minimo usque ad magnum.
And he called Johanan the son of Caree, and all the captains of the fighting men that were with him, and all the people from the least to the greatest.
49_8 Καὶ ἐκάλεσε τὸν Ἰωάναν, καὶ τοὺς ἡγεμόνας τῆς δυνάμεως, καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν ἀπὸ μικροῦ καὶ ἕως μεγάλου,
וַ/יִּקְרָ֗א אֶל יֽוֹחָנָן֙ בֶּן קָרֵ֔חַ וְ/אֶ֛ל כָּל שָׂרֵ֥י הַ/חֲיָלִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתּ֑/וֹ וּ/לְ/כָ֨ל הָ/עָ֔ם לְ/מִ/קָּטֹ֥ן וְ/עַד גָּדֽוֹל
42:9 Et dixit ad eos : Haec dicit Dominus Deus Israel, ad quem misistis me ut prosternerem preces vestras in conspectu ejus :
And he said to them: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel, to whom you sent me, to present your supplications before him:
49_9 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος,
וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵי/הֶ֔ם כֹּֽה אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר שְׁלַחְתֶּ֤ם אֹתִ/י֙ אֵלָ֔י/ו לְ/הַפִּ֥יל תְּחִנַּתְ/כֶ֖ם לְ/פָנָֽי/ו
42:10 Si quiescentes manseritis in terra hac, aedificabo vos, et non destruam : plantabo, et non evellam : jam enim placatus sum super malo quod feci vobis.
*H If you will be quiet and remain in this land, I will build you up, and not pull you down: I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for now I am appeased for the evil that I have done to you.

49_10 ἐὰν καθίσαντες καθίσητε ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ, οἰκοδομήσω ὑμᾶς, καὶ οὐ μὴ καθελῶ, καὶ φυτεύσω ὑμᾶς, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐκτιλῶ, ὅτι ἀναπέπαυμαι ἐπὶ τοῖς κακοῖς οἷς ἐποίησα ὑμῖν.
אִם שׁ֤וֹב תֵּֽשְׁבוּ֙ בָּ/אָ֣רֶץ הַ/זֹּ֔את וּ/בָנִ֤יתִי אֶתְ/כֶם֙ וְ/לֹ֣א אֶהֱרֹ֔ס וְ/נָטַעְתִּ֥י אֶתְ/כֶ֖ם וְ/לֹ֣א אֶתּ֑וֹשׁ כִּ֤י נִחַ֨מְתִּי֙ אֶל הָ֣/רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֖יתִי לָ/כֶֽם
42:11 Nolite timere a facie regis Babylonis, quem vos pavidi formidatis : nolite metuere eum, dicit Dominus, quia vobiscum sum ego ut salvos vos faciam, et eruam de manu ejus :
Fear not because of the king of Babylon, of whom you are greatly afraid: fear him not, saith the Lord: for I am with you, to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
49_11 Μὴ φοβηθῆτε ἀπὸ προσώπου βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος, οὗ ὑμεῖς φοβεῖσθε· ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ μὴ φοβηθῆτε, φησὶ Κύριος, ὅτι μεθʼ ὑμῶν ἐγὼ, ἐξαιρεῖσθαι ὑμᾶς, καὶ σώζειν ὑμᾶς ἐκ χειρὸς αὐτῶν.
אַל תִּֽירְא֗וּ מִ/פְּנֵי֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֔ל אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּ֥ם יְרֵאִ֖ים מִ/פָּנָ֑י/ו אַל תִּֽירְא֤וּ מִמֶּ֨/נּוּ֙ נְאֻם יְהוָ֔ה כִּֽי אִתְּ/כֶ֣ם אָ֔נִי לְ/הוֹשִׁ֧יעַ אֶתְ/כֶ֛ם וּ/לְ/הַצִּ֥יל אֶתְ/כֶ֖ם מִ/יָּדֽ/וֹ
42:12 et dabo vobis misericordias, et miserebor vestri, et habitare vos faciam in terra vestra.
*H And I will shew mercies to you, and will take pity on you, and will cause you to dwell in your own land.
Ver. 12. And will. Heb. "and he will." The king will take pity on you. — Dwell. Sept. "return;" which is less correct.
49_12 Καὶ δώσω ὑμῖν ἔλεος, καὶ ἐλεήσω ὑμᾶς, καὶ ἐπιστρέψω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν γῆν ὑμῶν.
וְ/אֶתֵּ֥ן לָ/כֶ֛ם רַחֲמִ֖ים וְ/רִחַ֣ם אֶתְ/כֶ֑ם וְ/הֵשִׁ֥יב אֶתְ/כֶ֖ם אֶל אַדְמַתְ/כֶֽם
42:13 Si autem dixeritis vos : Non habitabimus in terra ista, nec audiemus vocem Domini Dei nostri,
But if you say: We will not dwell in this land, neither will we hearken to the voice of the Lord our God,
49_13 Καὶ εἰ λέγετε ὑμεῖς, οὐ μὴ καθίσωμεν ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ, πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἀκοῦσαι φωνῆς Κυρίου,
וְ/אִם אֹמְרִ֣ים אַתֶּ֔ם לֹ֥א נֵשֵׁ֖ב בָּ/אָ֣רֶץ הַ/זֹּ֑את לְ/בִלְתִּ֣י שְׁמֹ֔עַ בְּ/ק֖וֹל יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵי/כֶֽם
42:14 dicentes : Nequaquam, sed ad terram Aegypti pergemus, ubi non videbimus bellum, et clangorem tubae non audiemus, et famem non sustinebimus, et ibi habitabimus :
Saying: No, but we will go into the land of Egypt: where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor suffer hunger: and there we will dwell.
49_14 ὅτι εἰς γῆν Αἰγύπτου εἰσελευσόμεθα, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδωμεν πόλεμον, καὶ φωνὴν σάλπιγγος οὐ μὴ ἀκούσωμεν, καὶ ἐν ἄρτοις οὐ μὴ πεινάσωμεν, καὶ ἐκεῖ οἰκήσομεν·
לֵ/אמֹ֗ר לֹ֚א כִּ֣י אֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֨יִם֙ נָב֔וֹא אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא נִרְאֶה֙ מִלְחָמָ֔ה וְ/ק֥וֹל שׁוֹפָ֖ר לֹ֣א נִשְׁמָ֑ע וְ/לַ/לֶּ֥חֶם לֹֽא נִרְעָ֖ב וְ/שָׁ֥ם נֵשֵֽׁב
42:15 propter hoc nunc audite verbum Domini, reliquiae Juda : Haec dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israel : Si posueritis faciem vestram ut ingrediamini Aegyptum, et intraveritis ut ibi habitetis,
*H For this now hear the word of the Lord, ye remnant of Juda: Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: If you set your faces to go into Egypt, and enter in to dwell there:

וְ/עַתָּ֕ה לָ/כֵ֛ן שִׁמְע֥וּ דְבַר יְהוָ֖ה שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יְהוּדָ֑ה כֹּֽה אָמַר֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אִם אַ֠תֶּם שׂ֣וֹם תְּשִׂמ֤וּ/ן פְּנֵי/כֶם֙ לָ/בֹ֣א מִצְרַ֔יִם וּ/בָאתֶ֖ם לָ/ג֥וּר שָֽׁם
42:16 gladius quem vos formidatis ibi comprehendet vos in terra Aegypti : et fames, pro qua estis solliciti, adhaerebit vobis in Aegypto, et ibi moriemini.
The sword which you fear, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt: and the famine, whereof you are afraid, shall cleave to you in Egypt, and there you shall die.
49_16 καὶ ἔσται, ἡ ῥομφαία ἣν ὑμεῖς φοβεῖσθε ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῆς εὑρήσει ὑμᾶς ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου, καὶ ὁ λιμὸς οὗ ὑμεῖς λόγον ἔχετε ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καταλήψεται ὑμᾶς ὀπίσω ὑμῶν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ, καὶ ἐκεῖ ἀποθανεῖσθε.
וְ/הָיְתָ֣ה הַ/חֶ֗רֶב אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתֶּם֙ יְרֵאִ֣ים מִמֶּ֔/נָּה שָׁ֛ם תַּשִּׂ֥יג אֶתְ/כֶ֖ם בְּ/אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְ/הָ/רָעָ֞ב אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּ֣ם דֹּאֲגִ֣ים מִמֶּ֗/נּוּ שָׁ֣ם יִדְבַּ֧ק אַחֲרֵי/כֶ֛ם מִצְרַ֖יִם וְ/שָׁ֥ם תָּמֻֽתוּ
42:17 Omnesque viri qui posuerunt faciem suam ut ingrediantur Aegyptum, ut habitent ibi, morientur gladio, et fame, et peste : nullus de eis remanebit, nec effugiet a facie mali quod ego afferam super eos.
And all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt, to dwell there, shall die by the sword, and by famine, and by pestilence: none of them shall remain, nor escape from the face of the evil that I will bring upon them.
49_17 Καὶ ἔσονται πάντες οἱ ἄνθρωποι, καὶ πάντες οἱ ἀλλογενεῖς, οἱ θέντες τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν εἰς γῆν Αἰγύπτου ἐνοικεῖν ἐκεῖ, ἐκλείψουσιν ἐν τῇ ῥομφαίᾳ, καὶ ἐν τῷ λιμῷ, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται αὐτῶν οὐδεὶς σωζόμενος ἀπὸ τῶν κακῶν ὧν ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπʼ αὐτούς.
וְ/יִֽהְי֣וּ כָל הָ/אֲנָשִׁ֗ים אֲשֶׁר שָׂ֨מוּ אֶת פְּנֵי/הֶ֜ם לָ/ב֤וֹא מִצְרַ֨יִם֙ לָ/ג֣וּר שָׁ֔ם יָמ֕וּתוּ בַּ/חֶ֖רֶב בָּ/רָעָ֣ב וּ/בַ/דָּ֑בֶר וְ/לֹֽא יִהְיֶ֤ה לָ/הֶם֙ שָׂרִ֣יד וּ/פָלִ֔יט מִ/פְּנֵי֙ הָֽ/רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י מֵבִ֥יא עֲלֵי/הֶֽם
42:18 Quia haec dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israel : Sicut conflatus est furor meus et indignatio mea super habitatores Jerusalem, sic conflabitur indignatio mea super vos cum ingressi fueritis Aegyptum : et eritis in jusjurandum, et in stuporem, et in maledictum, et in opprobrium, et nequaquam ultra videbitis locum istum.
*H For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: As my anger and my indignation hath been kindled against the inhabitants of Jerusalem: so shall my indignation be kindled against you, when you shall enter into Egypt, and you shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach: and you shall see this place no more.

49_18 Ὅτι οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος, καθὼς ἔσταξεν ὁ θυμός μου ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ἱερουσαλὴμ, οὕτως στάξει ὁ θυμός μου ἐφʼ ὑμᾶς, εἰσελθόντων ὑμῶν εἰς Αἴγυπτον· καὶ ἔσεσθε εἰς ἄβατον, καὶ ὑποχείριοι, καὶ εἰς ἀρὰν, καὶ εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδητε οὐκέτι τὸν τόπον τοῦτον.

42:19 Verbum Domini super vos, reliquiae Juda : Nolite intrare Aegyptum : scientes scietis, quia obtestatus sum vos hodie,
This is the word of the Lord concerning you, O ye remnant of Juda: Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have adjured you this day.
49_19 Ἃ ἐλάλησε Κύριος ἐφʼ ὑμᾶς τοὺς καταλοίπους Ἰούδα· μὴ εἰσέλθητε εἰς Αἴγυπτον· καὶ νῦν γνόντες γνώσεσθε,
דִּבֶּ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה עֲלֵי/כֶם֙ שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה אַל תָּבֹ֖אוּ מִצְרָ֑יִם יָדֹ֨עַ֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּ כִּי הַעִידֹ֥תִי בָ/כֶ֖ם הַ/יּֽוֹם
42:20 quia decepistis animas vestras. Vos enim misistis me ad Dominum Deum nostrum, dicentes : Ora pro nobis ad Dominum Deum nostrum, et juxta omnia quaecumque dixerit tibi Dominus Deus noster, sic annuntia nobis, et faciemus.
*H For you have deceived your own souls: for you sent me to the Lord our God, saying: Pray for us to the Lord our God, and according to all that the Lord our God shall say to thee, so declare unto us, and we will do it.
Ver. 20. Deceived. Sept. "done ill in your souls." Your intention was bad. You thought that I should speak conformably to your wishes. C. — He saw by the prophetic light, or by their deportment, that they were bent on going. H. — They were doubly guilty in neither observing their promise nor obeying God's decree. W.
49_20 ὅτι ἐπονηρεύσασθε ἐν ψυχαῖς ὑμῶν, ἀποστείλαντές με, λέγοντες, πρόσευξαι περὶ ἡμῶν πρὸς Κύριον, καὶ κατὰ πάντα ἃ ἐὰν λαλήσει σοι Κύριος ποιήσομεν.
כִּ֣י התעתי/ם הִתְעֵיתֶם֮ בְּ/נַפְשֽׁוֹתֵי/כֶם֒ כִּֽי אַתֶּ֞ם שְׁלַחְתֶּ֣ם אֹתִ֗/י אֶל יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹֽהֵי/כֶם֙ לֵ/אמֹ֔ר הִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל בַּעֲדֵ֔/נוּ אֶל יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֑י/נוּ וּ/כְ/כֹל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יֹאמַ֜ר יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֵ֛י/נוּ כֵּ֥ן הַגֶּד לָ֖/נוּ וְ/עָשִֽׂינוּ
42:21 Et annuntiavi vobis hodie, et non audistis vocem Domini Dei vestri super universis pro quibus misit me ad vos.
And now I have declared it to you this day, and you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord your God, with regard to all the things for which he hath sent me to you.
49_21 Καὶ οὐκ ἠκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου, ἧς ἀπέστειλέ με πρὸς ὑμᾶς.
וָ/אַגִּ֥ד לָ/כֶ֖ם הַ/יּ֑וֹם וְ/לֹ֣א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֗ם בְּ/קוֹל֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵי/כֶ֔ם וּ/לְ/כֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁר שְׁלָחַ֥/נִי אֲלֵי/כֶֽם
42:22 Nunc ergo scientes scietis quia gladio, et fame, et peste moriemini in loco ad quem voluistis intrare ut habitaretis ibi.
Now therefore know certainly that you shall die by the sword, and by famine, and by pestilence in the place to which you desire to go to dwell there.
49_22 Καὶ νῦν ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καὶ ἐν λιμῷ ἐκλείψετε ἐν τῷ τόπῳ ᾧ ὑμεῖς βούλεσθε εἰσελθεῖν κατοικεῖν ἐκεῖ.
וְ/עַתָּה֙ יָדֹ֣עַ תֵּֽדְע֔וּ כִּ֗י בַּ/חֶ֛רֶב בָּ/רָעָ֥ב וּ/בַ/דֶּ֖בֶר תָּמ֑וּתוּ בַּ/מָּקוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חֲפַצְתֶּ֔ם לָ/ב֖וֹא לָ/ג֥וּר שָֽׁם
