47:1 Et convertit me ad portam domus, et ecce aquae egrediebantur subter limen domus ad orientem : facies enim domus respiciebat ad orientem, aquae autem descendebant in latus templi dextrum, ad meridiem altaris.
*H And he brought me again to the gate of the house, and behold waters issued out from under the threshold of the house toward the east: for the forefront of the house looked toward the east: but the waters came down to the right side of the temple to the south part of the altar.


Ver. 1. Waters. These waters are not to be understood literally, (for there were none such that flowed from the temple) but mystically of the baptism of Christ, and of his doctrine and his grace; the trees that grow on the banks are Christian virtues; the fishes are Christians, that spiritually live in and by these holy waters; the fishermen are the apostles, and apostolic preachers; the fenny places, where there is no health, are such as by being out of the Church are separated from these waters of life. Ch. — It is not probable that real water or fishes were found, v. 9. But this must be explained of the Church and of baptism, in a higher and more proper sense. W. — Joel, (iii. 18.) before the captivity, and Zacharias, (xiv. 8.) after that event, speak of fountains as still to appear, and of course not in either temple, though Pilate made aqueducts for the purpose, (Jos. Bel. ii. 13.) which Tacitus, (An. v.) Maundrel, (p. 148.) and others mention. But the prophets allude not to them, but to Christ, the fountain of water springing up unto life eternal. John iv. 14. and vii. 38. C. — Villalpand understands it of waters brought into the temple to wash the victims; but it seems to refer more to the grace and doctrine of Christ. M.

Καὶ εἰσήγαγέ με ἐπὶ τὰ πρόθυρα τοῦ οἴκου· καὶ ἰδοὺ ὕδωρ ἐξεπορεύετο ὑποκάτωθεν τοῦ αἰθρίου κατὰ ἀνατολὰς, ὅτι τὸ πρόσωπον τοῦ οἴκου ἔβλεπε κατὰ ἀνατολὰς, καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ κατέβαινεν ἀπὸ τοῦ κλίτους τοῦ δεξιοῦ, ἀπὸ Νότου ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον.

47:2 Et eduxit me per viam portae aquilonis, et convertit me ad viam foras portam exteriorem, viam quae respiciebat ad orientem : et ecce aquae redundantes a latere dextro.
*H And he led me out by the way of the north gate, and he caused me to turn to the way without the outward gate to the way that looked toward the east: and behold there ran out waters on the right side.


Ver. 2. East. This gate was shut, and therefore he went out at the north gate. C.

Καὶ ἐξήγαγέ με κατὰ τὴν ὁδὸν τῆς πύλης τῆς πρὸς Βοῤῥᾶν, καὶ περιήγαγέ με τὴν ὁδὸν ἔξωθεν πρὸς τὴν πύλην τῆς αὐλῆς τῆς βλεπούσης κατὰ ἀνατολάς· καὶ ἰδοὺ τὸ ὕδωρ κατεφέρετο ἀπὸ τοῦ κλίτους τοῦ δεξιοῦ,
וַ/יּוֹצִאֵ/נִי֮ דֶּֽרֶךְ שַׁ֣עַר צָפוֹנָ/ה֒ וַ/יְסִבֵּ֨/נִי֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ ח֔וּץ אֶל שַׁ֣עַר הַ/ח֔וּץ דֶּ֖רֶךְ הַ/פּוֹנֶ֣ה קָדִ֑ים וְ/הִנֵּה מַ֣יִם מְפַכִּ֔ים מִן הַ/כָּתֵ֖ף הַ/יְמָנִֽית
47:3 Cum egrederetur vir ad orientem, qui habebat funiculum in manu sua, et mensus est mille cubitos, et traduxit me per aquam usque ad talos.
And when the man that had the line in his hand went out towards the east, he measured a thousand cubits: and he brought me through the water up to the ankles.
καθὼς ἔξοδος ἀνδρὸς ἐξεναντίας· καὶ μέτρον ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ· καὶ διεμέτρησε χιλίους ἐν τῷ μετρῳ, καὶ διῆλθεν ἐν τῷ ὕδατι ὕδωρ ἀφέσεως·

47:4 Rursumque mensus est mille, et traduxit me per aquam usque ad genua.
And again he measured a thousand, and he brought me through the water up to the knees.
καὶ διεμέτρησε χιλίους, καὶ διῆλθεν ἐν τῷ ὕδατι ὕδωρ ἕως τῶν μηρῶν· καὶ διεμέτρησε χιλίους, καὶ διῆλθεν ὕδωρ ἕως ὀσφύος.
וַ/יָּ֣מָד אֶ֔לֶף וַ/יַּעֲבִרֵ֥/נִי בַ/מַּ֖יִם מַ֣יִם בִּרְכָּ֑יִם וַ/יָּ֣מָד אֶ֔לֶף וַ/יַּעֲבִרֵ֖/נִי מֵ֥י מָתְנָֽיִם
47:5 Et mensus est mille, et traduxit me per aquam usque ad renes. Et mensus est mille, torrentem quem non potui pertransire, quoniam intumuerant aquae profundi torrentis, qui non potest transvadari.
And he measured a thousand, and he brought me through the water up to the loins. And he measured a thousand, and it was a torrent, which I could not pass over: for the waters were risen so as to make a deep torrent, which could not be passed over.
Καὶ διεμέτρησε χιλίους, καὶ οὐκ ἠδύνατο διελθεῖν, ὅτι ἐξύβριζεν ὡς χειμάῤῥου ὃν οὐ διαβήσονται.
וַ/יָּ֣מָד אֶ֔לֶף נַ֕חַל אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא אוּכַ֖ל לַ/עֲבֹ֑ר כִּֽי גָא֤וּ הַ/מַּ֨יִם֙ מֵ֣י שָׂ֔חוּ נַ֖חַל אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא יֵעָבֵֽר
47:6 Et dixit ad me : Certe vidisti, fili hominis. Et eduxit me, et convertit ad ripam torrentis.
And he said to me: Surely thou hast seen, O son of man. And he brought me out, and he caused me to turn to the bank of the torrent.
Καὶ εἶπε πρὸς μὲ, ἑὼρακας υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου; καὶ ἤγαγέ με, καὶ ἐπέστρεψέ με ἐπι τὸ χεῖλος τοῦ ποταμοῦ,
וַ/יֹּ֥אמֶר אֵלַ֖/י הֲ/רָאִ֣יתָ בֶן אָדָ֑ם וַ/יּוֹלִכֵ֥/נִי וַ/יְשִׁבֵ֖/נִי שְׂפַ֥ת הַ/נָּֽחַל
47:7 Cumque me convertissem, ecce in ripa torrentis ligna multa nimis ex utraque parte.
And when I had turned myself, behold on the bank of the torrent were very many trees on both sides.
ἐν τῇ ἐπιστροφῇ μου· καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐπὶ τοῦ χείλους τοῦ ποταμοῦ δένδρα πολλὰ σφόδρα ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν.
בְּ/שׁוּבֵ֕/נִי וְ/הִנֵּה֙ אֶל שְׂפַ֣ת הַ/נַּ֔חַל עֵ֖ץ רַ֣ב מְאֹ֑ד מִ/זֶּ֖ה וּ/מִ/זֶּֽה
47:8 Et ait ad me : Aquae istae quae egrediuntur ad tumulos sabuli orientalis, et descendunt ad plana deserti, intrabunt mare et exibunt : et sanabuntur aquae.
*H And he said to me: These waters that issue forth toward the hillocks of sand to the east, and go down to the plains of the desert, shall go into the sea, and shall go out, and the waters shall be healed.


Ver. 8. The. Heb. "the east country," (Prot. H.) or "the frontiers (Gelilah) eastward," by which some improperly suppose that one rivulet went to the sea of Galilee. — And shall. Heb. "the sea of the going out," where the Jordan empties itself into the Dead Sea; or, the second rivulet ran into the Mediterranean. Zac. xiv. 8. But this passage relates to the Dead Sea alone, (v. 18.) and Gelilah is a place near it, where the Israelites erected an altar of union. Jos. xxii. 10. C. — Healed. No fish can live in the sea of Sodom. Solin xxxviii. — Yet, let the place be ever so noxious, this water shall cure it; (see 4 K. ii. 19. C.) which must be taken in a mystical sense. H.

Καὶ εἶπε πρὸν μὲ, τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦτο τὸ ἐκπορευόμενον εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν τὴν πρὸς ἀνατολὰς, καὶ κατέβαινεν ἐπὶ τὴν Ἀραβίαν, καὶ ἤρχετο ἕως ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν ἐπὶ τὸ ὕδωρ τῆς διεκβολῆς, καὶ ὑγιάσει τὰ ὕδατα·
וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗/י הַ/מַּ֤יִם הָ/אֵ֨לֶּה֙ יוֹצְאִ֗ים אֶל הַ/גְּלִילָה֙ הַ/קַּדְמוֹנָ֔ה וְ/יָרְד֖וּ עַל הָֽ/עֲרָבָ֑ה וּ/בָ֣אוּ הַ/יָּ֔מָּ/ה אֶל הַ/יָּ֥מָּ/ה הַ/מּֽוּצָאִ֖ים ו/נרפאו וְ/נִרְפּ֥וּ הַ/מָּֽיִם
47:9 Et omnis anima vivens quae serpit quocumque venerit torrens, vivet : et erunt pisces multi satis, postquam venerint illuc aquae istae : et sanabuntur et vivent omnia ad quae venerit torrens.
And every living creature that creepeth whithersoever the torrent shall come, shall live: and there shall be fishes in abundance after these waters shall come thither, and they shall be healed, and all things shall live to which the torrent shall come.
Καὶ ἔσται πᾶσα ψυχὴ τῶν ζώων τῶν ἐκζεόντων, ἐπὶ πάντα ἐφʼ ἃ ἂν ἐπέλθῃ ἐκεῖ ὁ ποταμὸς, ζήσεται· καὶ ἔσται ἐκεῖ ἰχθὺς πολὺς σφόδρα, ὅτι ἥκει ἐκεῖ τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦτο, καὶ ὑγιάσει, καὶ ζήσεται, πᾶν ἐφʼ ὃ ἂν ἔλθῃ ὁ ποταμὸς ἐκεῖ, ζήσεται.
וְ/הָיָ֣ה כָל נֶ֣פֶשׁ חַיָּ֣ה אֲֽשֶׁר יִשְׁרֹ֡ץ אֶ֣ל כָּל אֲשֶׁר֩ יָב֨וֹא שָׁ֤ם נַחֲלַ֨יִם֙ יִֽחְיֶ֔ה וְ/הָיָ֥ה הַ/דָּגָ֖ה רַבָּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד כִּי֩ בָ֨אוּ שָׁ֜מָּ/ה הַ/מַּ֣יִם הָ/אֵ֗לֶּה וְ/יֵרָֽפְאוּ֙ וָ/חָ֔י כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁר יָ֥בוֹא שָׁ֖מָּ/ה הַ/נָּֽחַל
47:10 Et stabunt super illas piscatores : ab Engaddi usque ad Engallim siccatio sagenarum erit : plurimae species erunt piscium ejus, sicut pisces maris magni, multitudinis nimiae.
*H And the fishers shall stand over these waters, from Engaddi even to Engallim there shall be drying of nets: there shall be many sorts of the fishes thereof, as the fishes of the great sea, a very great multitude:


Ver. 10. Engallim, or "the fountain of Gallim," in the tribe of Benjamin. Is. xxv. 44.

Καὶ στήσονται ἐκεῖ ἁλιεῖς ἀπὸ Ἰνγαδεὶν ἕως Ἐναγαλλείμ· ψυγμὸς σαγηνῶν ἔσται, καθʼ ἑαυτὴν ἔσται· καὶ οἱ ἰχθύες αὐτῆς, ὡς οἱ ἰχθύες τῆς θαλάσσης τῆς μεγάλης, πλῆθος πολὺ σφόδρα.
וְ/הָיָה֩ יעמדו עָמְד֨וּ עָלָ֜י/ו דַּוָּגִ֗ים מֵ/עֵ֥ין גֶּ֨דִי֙ וְ/עַד עֵ֣ין עֶגְלַ֔יִם מִשְׁט֥וֹחַ לַֽ/חֲרָמִ֖ים יִהְי֑וּ לְ/מִינָ/ה֙ תִּהְיֶ֣ה דְגָתָ֔/ם כִּ/דְגַ֛ת הַ/יָּ֥ם הַ/גָּד֖וֹל רַבָּ֥ה מְאֹֽד
47:11 In littoribus autem ejus et in palustribus, non sanabuntur, quia in salinas dabuntur.
*H But on the shore thereof, and in the fenny places they shall not be healed, because they shall be turned into saltpits.


Ver. 11. Salt, or bitumen pits. Schismatics and bad Christians, who do not live by the spirit of Christ, are meant. C.

Καὶ ἐν τῇ διεκβολῇ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐν τῇ ἐπιστροφῇ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐν τῇ ὑπεράρσει αὐτοῦ, οὐ μὴ ὑγιάσωσιν, εἰς ἅλας δέδονται.
בצאת/ו בִּצֹּאתָ֧י/ו וּ/גְבָאָ֛י/ו וְ/לֹ֥א יֵרָפְא֖וּ לְ/מֶ֥לַח נִתָּֽנוּ
47:12 Et super torrentem orietur in ripis ejus, ex utraque parte, omne lignum pomiferum : non defluet folium ex eo, et non deficiet fructus ejus : per singulos menses afferet primitiva, quia aquae ejus de sanctuario egredientur : et erunt fructus ejus in cibum, et folia ejus ad medicinam.
*H And by the torrent on the banks thereof on both sides shall grow all trees that bear fruit: their leaf shall not fall off, and their fruit shall not fail: every month shall they bring forth firstfruits, because the waters thereof shall issue out of the sanctuary: and the fruits thereof shall be for food, and the leaves thereof for medicine.


Ver. 12. First-fruits, or most excellent. H. — S. John saw such (W.) a tree of life. Apoc. xxii. H. — The doctrine of the gospel, and the study of the sacred books, have the most salutary effects; while the very leaves, or the example of the saints, heal the soul. No more shall the deceitful fruits near Sodom be seen (C.) beautiful, but full of nothing but ashes. Tacit. An. v. — Where Christ instructs, a torrent of grace and glory is presently formed. Like the mustard seed growing into a large tree, in which the birds rest, its origin is mean; yet its progress is grand and astonishing.

Καὶ ἐπὶ τοῦ ποταμοῦ ἀναβήσεται, ἐπὶ τοῦ χείλους αὐτοῦ ἔνθεν καὶ ἔνθεν, πᾶν ξύλον βρώσιμον, οὐ μὴ παλαιωθῇ ἐπʼ αὐτοῦ, οὐδὲ μὴ ἐκλείπῃ ὁ καρπὸς αὐτοῦ, τῆς καινότητος αὐτοῦ πρωτοβολήσει, ὅτι τὰ ὕδατα αὐτῶν ἐκ τῶν ἁγίων ταῦτα ἐκπορεύεται, καὶ ἔσται ὁ καρπὸς αὐτῶν εἰς βρῶσιν, καὶ ἀνάβασις αὐτῶν εἰς ὑγίειαν.

47:13 Haec dicit Dominus Deus : Hic est terminus in quo possidebitis terram in duodecim tribubus Israel : quia Joseph duplicem funiculum habet.
*H Thus saith the Lord God: This is the border, by which you shall possess the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: for Joseph hath a double portion.


Ver. 13. Double portion. Lit. "cord." H. — His two sons would each have a share, as Levi was better provided for. W. — He had no portion of the land assigned to him by Josue, but here one part is appointed (C.) for the sacred ministers and the prince. C. xlv. 1.

Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Θεὸς, ταῦτα τὰ ὅρια κατακληρονομήσετε τῆς γῆς, ταῖς δώδεκα φυλαῖς τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ πρόσθεσις σχοινίσματος.
כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣/י יְהוִ֔ה גֵּ֤ה גְבוּל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּתְנַחֲל֣וּ אֶת הָ/אָ֔רֶץ לִ/שְׁנֵ֥י עָשָׂ֖ר שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל יוֹסֵ֖ף חֲבָלִֽים
47:14 Possidebitis autem eam singuli aeque ut frater suus, super quam levavi manum meam ut darem patribus vestris : et cadet terra haec vobis in possessionem.
*H And you shall possess it, every man in like manner as his brother: concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it to your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for a possession.


Ver. 14. Brother. The seven tribes to the north have each an equal share, as the five who lay to the south of the Levites had with respect to each other, though their portion must have been only about half of what the former possessed, according to the map. C. xlv. 1. H. — Under Josue, the numbers of each tribe were considered. The present mysterious equality shews, perhaps, that there is no distinction of Jew or Gentile in the Church, and that Christ would come to redeem all. C. — Lifted. People taking an oath acted in this manner. M.

Καὶ κατακληρονομήσετε αὐτὴν ἕκαστος καθὼς ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ, εἰς ἣν ᾖρα τὴν χεῖρά μου, τοῦ δοῦναι τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν, καὶ πεσεῖται ἡ γῆ αὕτη ὑμῖν ἐν κληρονομίᾳ.

47:15 Hic est autem terminus terrae : ad plagam septentrionalem, a mari magno via Hethalon, venientibus Sedada,

Ver. 15. Sedada. These places are not well known. They seem to be near the highest mountain specified, (Num. xxxiv. 7.) west of Emesa.

Καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὅρια τῆς γῆς τῆς πρὸς Βοῤῥᾶν, ἀπὸ θαλάσσης τῆς μεγάλης τῆς καταβαινούσης, καὶ περισχιζούσης τῆς εἰσόδου, Ἠμασελδὰμ,

*H And the border from the sea even to the court of Enan, shall be the border of Damascus, and from the north to the north: the border of Emath, this is the north side.

Ταῦτα τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ τῆς θαλάσσης, ἀπὸ τῆς αὐλῆς τοῦ Αἰνὰν, ὅρια Δαμασκοῦ, καὶ τὰ πρὸς βοῤῥᾶν,

47:18 Porro plaga orientalis de medio Auran, et de medio Damasci, et de medio Galaad, et de medio terrae Israel, Jordanis disterminans ad mare orientale. Metiemini etiam plagam orientalem.
*H And the east side is from the midst of Auran, and from the midst of Damascus, and from the midst of Galaad, and from the midst of the land of Israel, Jordan making the bound to the east sea, and thus you shall measure the east side.


Ver. 18. Auran. Hence a line must be drawn through Damascus over Mount Galaad to the eastern or Dead Sea, to form the eastern borders. C. — The Jordan flowing from Genesareth to Sodom marked out this side, (M.) or rather was in this division; though the land as far as Galaad was to belong to Israel, as it had been before the captivity. Prot. "by Jordan from the border unto," &c. H.

Καὶ τὰ πρὸς ἀνατολὰς ἀναμέσον τῆς Λωρανίτιδος, καὶ ἀναμέσον Δαμασκοῦ, καὶ ἀναμέσον τῆς Γαλααδίτιδος, καὶ ἀναμέσον τῆς γῆς τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ, ὁ Ἰορδάνης διορίζει ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν, τὴν πρὸς ἀνατολὰς φοινικῶνος· ταῦτα τὰ πρὸς ἀνατολάς.

47:19 Plaga autem australis meridiana, a Thamar usque ad aquas contradictionis Cades, et torrens usque ad mare magnum : et haec est plaga ad meridiem australis.
*H And the south side southward is, from Thamar even to the waters of contradiction of Cades: and, the torrent even to the great sea: and this is the south side southward.

Καὶ τὰ πρὸς Νότον καὶ Λίβα ἀπὸ Θαιμὰν καὶ φοινικῶνος, ἕως ὕδατος Μαριμὼθ Καδὴμ, παρεκτεῖνον ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν μεγάλην·
וּ/פְאַת֙ נֶ֣גֶב תֵּימָ֔נָ/ה מִ/תָּמָ֗ר עַד מֵי֙ מְרִיב֣וֹת קָדֵ֔שׁ נַחֲלָ֖ה אֶל הַ/יָּ֣ם הַ/גָּד֑וֹל וְ/אֵ֥ת פְּאַת תֵּימָ֖נָ/ה נֶֽגְבָּ/ה
47:20 Et plaga maris, mare magnum a confinio per directum, donec venias Emath : haec est plaga maris.
*H And the side toward the sea, is the great sea from the borders straight on, till thou come to Emath: this is the side of the sea.


Ver. 20. Emath, not that it was on the sea: but a line was to be drawn over against this city, eastward from the Mediterranean. Sept. "to opposite the entrance of Emath, as far as its entrance." But the territory extended farther. Num. xxxiv.

τοῦτο τὸ μέρος Νότος καὶ λίψ. Τοῦτο τὸ μέρος τῆς θαλάσσης τῆς μεγάλης ὁρίζει, ἕως κατέναντι τῆς εἰσόδου Ἠμὰθ, ἕως εἰσόδου αὐτοῦ· ταῦτά ἐστι τὰ πρὸς θάλασσαν Ἠμάθ.
וּ/פְאַת יָם֙ הַ/יָּ֣ם הַ/גָּד֔וֹל מִ/גְּב֕וּל עַד נֹ֖כַח לְב֣וֹא חֲמָ֑ת זֹ֖את פְּאַת יָֽם
47:21 Et dividetis terram istam vobis per tribus Israel :
And you shall divide this land unto you by the tribes of Israel:
Καὶ διαμερίσετε τὴν γῆν ταύτην αὐτοῖς, ταῖς φυλαῖς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ.
וְ/חִלַּקְתֶּ֞ם אֶת הָ/אָ֧רֶץ הַ/זֹּ֛את לָ/כֶ֖ם לְ/שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
47:22 et mittetis eam in haereditatem vobis, et advenis qui accesserint ad vos, qui genuerint filios in medio vestrum : et erunt vobis sicut indigenae inter filios Israel : vobiscum divident possessionem in medio tribuum Israel.
*H And you shall divide it by lot for an inheritance to you, and to the strangers that shall come over to you, that shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as men of the same country born among the children of Israel: they shall divide the possession with you in the midst of the tribes of Israel.


Ver. 22. Strangers. This was never done by the Jews. It signifies that Christ would give an inheritance, in the true land of promise, (C.) to all nations which should practice his religion. Rom. x. 12. H.

Βαλεῖτε αὐτὴν ἐν κλήρῳ, ὑμῖν καὶ τοῖς προσηλύτοις τοῖς παροικοῦσιν ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν, οἵτινες ἐγέννησαν υἱοὺς ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν, καὶ ἔσονται ὑμῶν ὡς αὐτόχθονες ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ· μεθʼ ὑμῶν φάγονται ἐν κληρονομίᾳ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν φυλῶν τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ,
וְ/הָיָ֗ה תַּפִּ֣לוּ אוֹתָ/הּ֮ בְּ/נַחֲלָה֒ לָ/כֶ֗ם וּ/לְ/הַ/גֵּרִים֙ הַ/גָּרִ֣ים בְּ/תוֹכְ/כֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר הוֹלִ֥דוּ בָנִ֖ים בְּ/תֽוֹכְ/כֶ֑ם וְ/הָי֣וּ לָ/כֶ֗ם כְּ/אֶזְרָח֙ בִּ/בְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אִתְּ/כֶם֙ יִפְּל֣וּ בְ/נַחֲלָ֔ה בְּ/ת֖וֹךְ שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
47:23 In tribu autem quacumque fuerit advena, ibi dabitis possessionem illi, ait Dominus Deus.
And in what tribe soever the stranger shall be, there shall you give him possession, saith the Lord God.
καὶ ἔσονται ἐν φυλῇ προσηλύτων ἐν τοῖς προσηλύτοις τοῖς μετʼ αὐτῶν· ἐκεῖ δώσετε κληρονομίαν αὐτοῖς, λέγει Κύριος Θεός.
וְ/הָיָ֣ה בַ/שֵּׁ֔בֶט אֲשֶׁר גָּ֥ר הַ/גֵּ֖ר אִתּ֑/וֹ שָׁ֚ם תִּתְּנ֣וּ נַחֲלָת֔/וֹ נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥/י יְהוִֽה
